Unfortunately, we don't see any wisdom in investing in humane prison facilities here. It is still the old colonial structures, which should have been be preserved as monuments or demolished, that we are still packing an ever increasing population of prisoners into. Ghana needs to invest in new prisons throughout the country, and make the practice of imprisoning people who break the law....not only the poor, but equally, the rich and corrupt criminals. That is the only way we can move forward as a nation. No country has ever developed without having adequate prison facilities.

I think Ghana's laws on corruption have to be upgraded to an extremely severe status. We can have people occupy public office, then after their tenure, they don't want to account for their stewardship. They run to the US on the pretext of going for medical treatment, only to not want to return to account for their stewardship. If that's what these wicked politicians want to do to Ghanaians, then we must ensure that the passports of these public officers are confiscated and bar them from leaving the country until they are cleared of any malfeasance
