Papas, just ignore such people who make silly comments and contributions. I have been a Professor for almost three decades in Uncle Sam’s country and I am not silly or stupid. Yes, I have taught in High Schools and Colleges. Prior to that, I had a successful Teaching career at Tamale, Kibi, Suhum and Koforidua. I am glad my students liked me wherever I taught. I was very young teaching at the Seventh Day Adventist College (which is now a University College). Many of my students were far older than me. They did not call me Sir but rather called me BROTHER OR UNCLE Frank. In the United States, the stipulation is that Lecturers of Colleges, Universities, and even High Schools are addressed as Professors. Anyway, students who were not my students but lived in my neighborhood called me Frank. That means nothing to me because Americans don’t care about salutations except when on Official Duties. I learned with surprise that President Obama had a PhD in law from Harvard University but I never heard anybody address him in Public with the Salutation Dr. And of course he never complained. Let us do what is right, be Good Ghanaians and not bother with Salutations unless one wants to use the Salutation or take an undue advantage of people.

Mr. Frank, you need to read wide. Google is free. Obama has a JD and by tradition, JDs are not referred to as doctors though JD stands for jurist doctor.

And for high schools in the US, nobody refers to one as a professor ...

You don't know anything about anyone, but because you have access to the internet, you write whatever you want. Professors are meant to research, teach, and engage in community service. Professors are not promoted because they set up a business or become presidents or ministers of state. Has he done his job in line with his role? Yes. If you want to broaden his responsibilities, let's update his job description and pay him better. Let's stop this hatred because nobody voted for a professor to become president to change Ghana. The nonsense must stop.

The most irritating thing is those who travel abroad and think they have it all figured out. If you are a transformer, as many of you claim, apply to become a professor in Ghana and try to change Ghana through education. Dandruwa shege.
