But why is that Tsatsu Tsikata is afraid of death? Is he telling myself and other Ghanaians that almost all the people he sent to the gallows and the penitentiary in the lieu of presiding over the Fast Track Kangaroo People’s Tribunal Court under the AFRC/ PNDC regime were given fair trials?

I understand his reasons for thanking God that he is still alive and enjoying his akple and red fish doused with palm oil and okra soup—simply because others lost their lives and many were speedily incarcerated under his mantle of Justice for committing lesser offenses.

He should be grateful to Kuffour who also came out with the idea of the Peace and Reconciliation Commission that ostensibly helped heal the wounds and gave closure to those who were affected by the AFRC/PNDC atrocities. If I were Tsutsu I would be careful in reminiscent
of some of these events , in other not aggravate some past wounds or act as if he’s willfully stepping on the toes of those who lost their love ones during that era of infamy.

You see, Kufuor has more blood on his hands than the AFRC and PNDC put together.

Back in 1979– 1981 after JJ Rawlings killed many Akan business people, jailed or hounded others out of the country so that he can take over their businesses and assets because of merely accusing them of borrowing from our Commercial Banks, evading taxes or hoarding commodities in their warehouses among others.

He didn’t even offer them the opportunity to have any legal representations to defend themselves. He tried them at his AFRC/ P/NDC kangaroo court presided over by one Dzelokope Mafia bandit called Tsatsu Tsikata — and found almost all of them guilty of various crimes. Others were also tried in absentia, because they were lucky to have gotten the opportunity to flee from Rawlings covetous agenda.

But what happened after Rawlings perpetrated all these crimes against humanity? He himself became more corrupt, trained more hardened criminals than himself. He later sold most of those seized assets to his wife 31st December women’s movement that was registered in his wife’s name. Again after several years rendering no accountability to anyone as to what happened to the billions of dollars of revenue from Ghana’s gold, cocoa, bauxite, timber, diamonds etc: he sold the remaining seized assets as well as other assets of State owned enterprises to his cronies. So all the cacophonies Ablakwa is divulging is a ploy to hoodwink unsuspecting Ghanaians citizens for his own parochial personal interest.

Though Rawlings himself was lucky to have evaded prosecution, nevertheless most of his appointees were jailed after the fall of his government through the People’s voting rights. People like Victor Salormey, Tsatsu Tsikata and others were tried in a competent court of justice and sentenced to serve various terms of imprisonment. Others were also pardoned or were just left off the hook because the Kufuor Administration wanted a permanent closure to the numerous atrocities by these P/NDC crooks. As a result Former President Kuffour set up a Peace And Reconciliation Committee to just unravel some of the most serious crimes against humanity that were perpetuated under AFRC/ P/ NDC. regimes.

I was a supporter John Kufuor before Tsatsu Tsikata was charged with a case with retrospective effect for causing financial lost to the state.
I am not a student of jurisprudence, but I consulted Ghana's 1992 and the United Nations Convention on Human Rights, which both said a person cannot be charged with an offence, when the act he or she is charge for is not an offence at the time it is alleged to have been committed.
Since that day I have been writing to state that the NPP government was wrong to charge Tsatsu Tsikata as such.
I did not know Tsatsu Tsikata but on the day he was charged illegally he became my friend and a hero, though up to date he have not meet.
I had the same argument with some lawyers who claim that a person can be charge with an offence taking retrospective effect.
In my life, what I hate most is the punish or victimise a person because I hate him.
However, the real actions of John Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo were instigated by those companies who are extracting Ghana's fossil resources.
Their aim was to have the lion share of our fossil resources, whiles we have a pienut.
I closely followed the process of GNPC because the first engineers there were those I met in Moscow, whiles they were studying at the Moscow Oil Institute.
I had day to day progress of the work of GNPC, thus, know that the long hand of the US want to assassinate Tsatsu Tsikata so that he will not be alive to talk about the findings of GNPC.
But wait Sam Joannah has written a little about the success of GNPC, and article which I cut and is still in my library.

Kufuor told BBC in Canberra that when he returns to Ghana he will appoint two more judges to the Supreme Court to have the ruling against the state reviewed.
It was interesting that the Attorney General then Nana Akufo-Addo in charging Tsatsu Tsikata at the High Court in his motion wrote John Kufuor vrs Tsatsu Tsikata, instead of the State ver. Tsatsu Tsikata.
So John Kufuor returned from Australia and empaneled two more judges to the Supreme Court to have the earlier ruling reviewed in his favour.
