I thought this Kofi guy is a lawyer who is supposed to know better.Your pay masters set up a parallel office to witch-hunt members of the NDC and went ahead to appointment a disgruntled member of the NDC to prosecute his own collegues which turn out to be a failed mission.At the end of the day, Martin Amidu was hounded out of office.
He later christined the then president as mother serpent of corruption.
That one Kofi Bentil heard no evil and saw no evil.

Kofi Bentil. I was one of those who had the same mindset of yours. However, after listening to Srem-Sai on the Joy Fm super morning show today (17th April), I became convinced about the technicalities. To explain it a lay mans language. The power to Prosecute is an entrenched clause in the constitution given solely to the AG and you can't use Parliament to alter an entrenched clause ( only by constitutinal amendment and affirmed by a referendum). The OSP However claims to have Independent prosecutoral powers which the AG disagrees. The OSP is therefore bound to seek the consent of the AG before embarking on any prosecution. The AG says they are ready to collaborate with the OSP to give them authorisation to prosecute cases. John Mahama is committed to making the OSP work and the constitutional amendments ongoing will factor in the necessary provisions to make the OSP truly independent. I urge everyone to listen to the playback of this interview

If you listen to the argument by Srem Sai, he says the whole brouhaha is becasue the OSP is claiming to have independent prosecutorial powers which is not true according to the constitution. The AG is ready to issue the Fiat. 'The whole confusion is becasue the OSP claims he can independently investigate and prosecute criminal cases without first seeking authorisation from the AG. Just listen to the playback on Joy fm portals. You will realise even the morning show hosts themselves became convinced. We should analyse this issue devoid of emotions

Now Agabeng coming from a different political divide cannot prosecute without the AG's express permission. The way I see it, that is the law because the osp was established to support the AG.
