Gianni Infantino is a crook whose words should be taken with a grain of salt. The US requires football fans going to the world cup to deposit $15,000 in order for the visa application to be considered. Canada and Mexico do not have such restrictions as the US. Infantino hasn't been able to convince his buddy, Trump, to whom he awarded the first ever FIFA peace prize to grant a waiver to football fans coming from Africa. Anybody who purchases tickets to the world cup and couldn't get a visa, won't have the tickets refunded. Secondly, the US hasn't released any policy on how and when it would release the $15,000 visa deposit to the person returning home after the World cup.
