A 54-year-old pastor has been ordered into custody by an Accra Circuit Court over allegations of vehicle theft and document forgery involving a Honda Civic valued at GH¢180,000, according to graphiconline.com report.

According to the report, the accused, identified as Pastor Hammond Love, denied the charges when he appeared before the court.

Despite his plea, the court directed that he be remanded for two weeks while the case continues.

The court was told that the complainant, Daniel Baidoo, a businessman based in SCC Weija, first came into contact with the pastor in October 2025.

Pastor Love presented himself as a car dealer and convinced the businessman Baidoo to enter into a deal.

Under the arrangement, the complainant was to hand over his Honda Civic along with an additional GH¢30,000 in exchange for a Range Rover.

However, the situation reportedly took a different turn on November 7, 2025, when the accused, accompanied by two other individuals, allegedly seized the Range Rover from Baidoo.

Investigations later uncovered that the pastor is suspected to have forged ownership documents for the Honda Civic and subsequently sold the vehicle for GH¢150,000.

In a statement given to the police, Pastor Love reportedly admitted to the offence and assured authorities he would settle the matter.

However, he is said to have failed to honour that commitment.

Following these developments, the court ruled that he be kept in custody as investigations and legal proceedings continue.
