Please the police should be well organised when it's about arresting a criminal. The girl too might have resisted pressure to return home. Issues about is different during teen aging. What was the point of beating the man to death, what if the girl has been impregnated by the man. He should have been made to face the full rigors of the law. To the police, are you sure you kids are all perfect ? Because I know of some policemen, whose kids, after SHS ,are drug addicts, who are virtually school drop outs .walking around and training others into drugs.
