This have nothing to with steering change,it is the wheel base issues, this people add higher springs, change the tires which compromise the ride quality and stability. Arrest all that raised the height of this cars

Look an another ignorant guy. The bottom line and cause of this accident is the changes from right to left. I currently drive a VOXY and a Siesta and l use them for private purpose but driving this cars is not as perfect as having the original left hand drive. In Kenya and other Eastern African countries where they drive right hand, this Japanese Toyota VOXY and NOAH and SIENTA and whole lot Toyota brands which cannot be found as brand new but imported as secondhand are so common there and does not pose any problem because they drive right hand. This vehicles are not even made for export as brand new, one can only buy the second. Unfortunately Ghana drives left hand and that's our problem.

Actually it is illegal to import a RHD vehicle into Ghana unless there is written approval directly from the minister. This is an actual parliamentary law.
There is no need to certify any garages. Just implement existing law ...

There is no need to certify any garages. Just implement existing law and don’t allow the cars into the country in the first place.

This is the customs act 891 of 2015:
58. Prohibited motor vehicle
(1) A person shall not import a right-hand steering motor vehicle into the country unless approved by
the Minister.
(2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Commissioner-General shall seize a prohibited motor
vehicle imported into the country and the motor vehicle shall be forfeited to the State.

The DVLA should be bold enough to tell Ghanaians that RHD vehicles should no longer be imported into the country for road safety reasons. All these long-winding words and explanations can not be clearly understood by the ordinary person on the street. Just advise Parliament to pass a law prohibiting importers from importing Right Hand Drive Vehicles into the country. Simple.
