Is what the Rumor Mill has been churning out the truth? That his father was not an Asante but from Northern Ghana? And is the present Asantehene a very true Royal? Hmmmm, I am just asking because his Physical does not prove that. He is too big and tall to be a fully blooded Asante.
I don’t want any attacks on me because it is a known secret that many Asante people, especially those who are big and tall have some of our Northern cousins’ blood in their DNA. Can we check that out? Or he is a Royal so no DNA can be checked on the? I don’t mean any offense. Just asking. I grew up in Asante and it was well known that some Asante people have Northern Ancestry from the Patrilineal side. I equally have a lot of Guan Blood in me but I grew up in Kwabere Sekyere, speak fluent Asante Twi, and also write it very well with excellent Asante Language Grammar.
I am not by this postage suggesting that the cousins from the North of Ghana are inferior. They have existed with the Asante people since time immemorial and helped the Asante people in their many wars of conquest. How many of Ghanaians know that the Stool of Bantama was created for the Northern Soldiers who helped the Asante people in their wars. Do you know why the Asante people have a saying that ASANTEMAN MU, OBI NKYERE OBIA ASE translated literally that in Asanteman, nobody tells the Ancestry of any person. It is a taboo and forbidden.

I hope it is not sacrilegious to mention them as having fathers from the North. Go to any town in Asanteman and find out how many have fathers from the North of the country or Burkina Faso. I lived with them in Asanteman at the Agona Kwabere, Mampong, Ejura, Nsuta, and Jamase. I know what I am posting is right.And are such children almost always not given Asante names? They are given Islamic names when they are Moslems. Go to Asante Mampong, Jamasi, Ejura to find out if I am wrong..

Once a person is born in Asanteman State, by tradition, the one automatically becomes an Asante. There is no exception to this rule.
