With a Foreign Minister like Ablakwa, who needs Ambassadors and High Commissioners? Ablakwa has a Deputy Minister, envoys dotted all over the world and Directors at the Ministry so why must it always be he himself jetting out to fire-fight problems.

Could it also be because he has belatedly realized that those that have been appointed as envoys have proven to be incompetent? I suspect that Ablakwa wants to set a record as the most traveled Minister in Ghana, otherwise how? Does he need to hop on a plane to go everywhere for every small issue?

He should know that there is really nothing he can do about the emerging problem in South Africa because it is not Ghanaians per se that the ordinary people of South Africa have a problem with. They seem to have a problem with all other Africans and Asians - in fact everybody, except the tiny European minority that have a total control of their economy to the disadvantage of the overwhelming masses of unemployed black South Africans. There is nothing much Ablakwa can do about this deteriorating situation except to issue a public advisory for all Ghanaian hustlers to leave that country.

3. To get working permit is the most difficult one here in SA even asylum renewal is a big issue.
4. 98% of Ghanaians in SA are stranded and no more interested in SA but are stuck and have no other means .
5. To live a genuine life here in south Africa are always seen back home as failures in life.

This xenophobic attack by South African blacks against other African nationals have been going on for years but the African Union has been aloof and toothless. Other Africans from sub - Sahara countries have been killed in Libya , Syria , Morocco and other North African countries without any protests from our governments yet Ghana wants to give free visa entry to these nations. This is not the time to implement this policy. The AU must have a meeting and come to the general consensus on this visa free issue .
