  To all content creators in Ghana producing content on US content platforms are you aware you can reduce the withholding tax that is held on your content income, usually 30% of your income is held but you can reduce this significantly if you file FORM W8-BEN annually. This can reduce it by up to a half of the 30% holding tax. It is easy to do, see below and do a search on google in how to fill the form and where to email it to ............................................................
  
  As a Ghanaian resident receiving income from U.S. content creator platforms (such as YouTube, Patreon, or TikTok), you need to fill out Form W-8BEN (Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding and Reporting - Individuals).
  
  This form establishes your status as a non-U.S. person, allowing you to avoid the standard 30% withholding tax on U.S.-sourced income and potentially reduce it based on any applicable tax treaty.
