There are many of us in Ghana who lived there during the Apartheid Era, and can better educate him on what is really going on in the country. Apartheid has nothing to do with what the few misguided South African are doing to other Africans. We lived there and we know why these miscreants are behaving like that.

I don't agree with Suhuyini one bit, Suhuyini must be reminded that after World War 1 South Africa administered Namibia the then known as South West Africa for 75 years under a League of Nations mandate and applied apartheid policies to Namibia. Zimbabwe then known as Rhodesia under Ian Smith from 1964 to 1979 also operated a system of white minority rule while not explicitly called apartheid it was the same racial segregation. South Africa's xenophobic tendencies is born out of something else.

I lived in South Africa just before apartheid ended and lived through for years thereafter, and I know what you're talking about.

THEY ALSO HAVE THEIR POOR, AND HAVE DECADES OF REORGANISATION TO DO.

Personally, I think Madiba in his freedom-fighter's thinking, did not have to feel the need to immediately want to pay back the kindness of other African countries during the anti-apartheid fighting by opening the gates too soon.

Botswana only invited the professionals and stabilised themselves first. Madiba did the right thing but at the wrong time. That's what today's xenophobia is now showing us.

South Africa has brought us MTN, FNB, STANBIC, ABSA etc, as against 70% of our boys who go to Mzansi to become BARBERS, SHOE SHINERS, STREET VENDORS etc, and we call that working ?

Having had the experience of apartheid, South Africans know what racial segregation and ethnic segregation is. To them its not in letters, but in their blood, the scares are allover for us to see, their tears have turned into salt on their face.
They know deep to their bones what apartheid, racial segregation and ethnic cleansing is as the case is in Palestine and other places around the world.
But as I have written already two of the instances were about health care and I see it as a call from South Africans to fight for free medical care.
