Having a lot of money places a huge burden on the shoulders and mind of those who are either lucky or cursed to have it. That is why it is important for rich people to have one or two smart and intelligent Personal Assistants (PAs) to help them weave through the overwhelming pressures that wealth imposes on them.

To start with, this unholy and very unnecessary yarn about washing 5,000 dishes a day is so juvenile that I wonder if you really made that statement. It sounds like what a teenager from a deprived background would say to gain a few swagger points.

Secondly, big hotels in Europe have been using industrial dish-washers for decades to deal with such catering overloads. Even if in the unlikely event you spent a maximum of one minute washing one dish, I will leave you to calculate how many dishes you can wash on the basis that you are working throughout the 24 hours of each day.

Considering that nonentities will use this story to demean and get even with you, I think you should just simply dismiss the number 5,000, as a hypothetical figure that was meant to give the impression of a heavy work load. Simple.

As Frankie has suggested above, I also think that you should avoid the media at all costs. They tend to feed on the successes of people like you in a negative way. I would therefore even go further to also suggest that you should establish your own media facility to promote as well as defend your person and business interests. Twa omanye aba!!

The huge pots and pans snd crockery came ftom Breakfast chef, Commis Chefs, Chef du Pate, Pastry Chefs, Sous Chefs ,Head Chefs etc.
Hence the phrase. If you cannot stand the heat, then get the 4uck out of the kitchen..Being s potwasher in even a medium sized 200 seater restaurant means you will wash more than 5000 crockery on a daily basis. These are facts.

I started as a warehouse cleaners during the night and got street sweeping during the day just to save and pay my fees. Not that my Dad couldn't' send me money, but i wanted to do things on my own just as my dad also did. Sometimes, the stories our parents tell us about their personal lives invigorates us beyond our imaginations.

I rather had cousins and other distant relatives enjoying in my home on Ghana to the annoyance of mum if they play the fool.

I have come a long way and when i look back, i am proud of what i have done. I laugh at the challenges i went through. Ha ha ha ha.

There was nothing like minimum wage . Any company paid their own wages.
So, Boafo, from there I worked in the Gloucester and Penta hotels. They were 600 and 910 ten roomed hotels, yet potwash were no joke. I also worked in Reads Restuarant on Old Brompton Road. And, I definitely washed more than 50000 crockery a day Get out of you Ivory tower and stop gathering crap from your laptop or phone. The reality is exactly what he said and I have emphasised here.

In reality, a well conditioned conveyor dishwasher machine does the trick but there must be limits to how many dishes per staff per shift. I worked with an industrial machine producing company and I've gone on assignments to train users of such machines on the job. Those machines are very expensive so there's always agreement between producer and owner to extend services beyond just purchasing to avoid constant breakdown of machine due to inappropriate use.

Now, google, Penta hotel, Kensington London and look at the image .I worked there for decades from potwasher to head barman from the the early 8os. It was 900 rooms spread over 25/27 floors. 600 staff back then. I had my papers all right. But young and strong. I was the only potwasher for the main kitchen from 9-5 or 5-11.
The automated plate washer wash manned by two people. One was employed as the potwasher and the chief steward who simply helps out. Those days, that industrial machine could hardly run for 5 days in a row without breaking down.And, they had to be washed manually.
Now, I also worked in a very busy restaurant on Panton street .
It was the cheapest restaurant in the West End in the 80s. It was busy as hell. And, the amounts of plates I had to wash was just insane. Nobody lasted more than 3 weeks. I ddd it for about 4 months for the grand sum of 3 pounds an hour back then instead of 2.75 p an hour.
Frankly, I find it absurd that people are talking about something they have never experienced. And, I even have my payslips from those years to prove it. The only problem is: I cannot actually post it on Ghanaweb with my grand title of "Potswaher" written on it it.

Lunch... starter plate, soup bowl, side plate, main course plate, dessert plate, coffee cup or tea cup plus saucer.
