Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II has directed that the remaining balance of Dominic Frimpong’s contract be paid in full to his family following the player’s death.

The owner of Aduana FC has also instructed that Frimpong’s monthly salary be honoured as part of efforts to support the bereaved family during this period.

Frimpong had signed a permanent deal with Aduana before joining Berekum Chelsea on loan in January until the end of the season.

The young forward died after he was attacked by armed robbers while Berekum Chelsea were returning from a Ghana Premier League fixture against FC Samartex 1996, an incident that has deeply shaken the football community.

He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Assin Dansame in the Central Region, with officials from the Ghana Football Association, teammates, and stakeholders expected to attend.

The GFA has since reiterated its commitment to working with relevant authorities to improve security for clubs and players across competitions.

The decision by the Dormaahene has been widely viewed as a gesture of support and solidarity, as tributes continue to pour in for the late player.
