I don’t think the Minister for Health can be blamed for this unless we can prove that the resources and facilities are available. For all you know, the Minister might not even have been aware of this. I cry for my beloved country.

If the facilities are not available, what can the Hospital and the Minister do? Many Patients are referred to KATH or KORLE BU and many times, there are no beds or rooms to accommodate them. Do we blame the Hospital or the Medical Services for that? We Ghanaians and Government stupidly spend our meager resources in Politics and fly Politicians out of the country for medical services outside the country. Who will fly me to the Western World for my needed Health needs? How many of our present and dead Politicians were flown outside the country with their families for medical care? There are so many private hospitals that do Cecerean in Kasoa, eg. Elised in Top Hill, Justab. Besides there is St. GREGORY CATHOLIC HOSPITAL at Liberia Camp. Why didn't you send her to any of these but chose to see her die?

The nursed and medical.practuiners at that hospital should have seen this before hand and relayed or transferred her to thr appropriate hospital for care..everything is dumb in ghana.trust me..a clinic I attended to in dansoman.requested I go for x-rays at weija mall I get rherr take thr x-rays and pay for it even though inhad a nhis card. I was told to wait for thr x-rays and take them back to the clinic. So in this day n age this x-rays spot at weija mall can't forward the x-rays information to the clinic that referred me there? Why all this back n forth foolishness? Why can't you make things as seamless and simple and I had to tell the x-rays staff that this is foolishenss..where I come from if I go to hospital and take x-rays that information is sent to my doctor asap..why can't you do the same here? I'm in pain on meds and you want me to go back and forth like are you people dumb or insensitive or insane? Why can't you learn from what others are doing?.always people must die because leaders are negligent..I think the family of this woman must sue the gh govt for this...

The doctor or hospital staff at the private hospital she attended should have given her or the family members a referal letter to give to the hospital , not just walk in and demand a caesarean section. Why shock is why keep her there for 36hours when you know they have not given her any medication or agreed on performing a CS on her. This is so sad but thats my question to the family members when they knew the care plan isnt great and hospital staff dont seem to be helpful. This sort of medical practice should never be acceptable anywhere in our motherland. If citizens take on such hospitals and individual members of staff in courts for negligence of duty and compensation, they will all sit up and never allow such practice to continue. But because they know that nothing can be done and no one will be bold to take them one, they just write their own rules. Ghana simetimes sucks. The government should help citizen in taking on such hopeless hospitals and their medical staff.

I chanced to visit my friend’s father who was on an emergency admission at KORLE BU. There was no Bed for the Old Man and he was just lying on the bare floor for hours. Yes, he was just there like that until his nephew who was then the Director General of the BNI came to see the uncle. He was immediately taken to a Special Room for Government Senior Officials. Do you think that Konadu Agyemang Rawlings or any of the family members will be ever left on the bare floor at any Hospital in Ghana? In Ghana, all people are important but some are more important than others. Don’t blame the Hospital or the Personnel.
