Many people in Northern Territory, Gold Coast and German Togoland were persecuted, incarcerated and killed in the British colonizations propaganda campaign. The Gonja people and the people of Winneba are Guans. The very elderly understand each other when they speak. Have you ever read and heard about NDEWURA JAKPA and TOHAJIE after the Almoravid invasion of Western Sudan and defeated and overthrew the Songhai Empire. The elderly people of Adukrom and some Guan areas understand Gonja language. My In Law is from Winneba and can’t speak the Gonja language but has a very working knowledge of the language. I am a Guan who grew up in Asanteman and can’t speak the Guan language but don’t make a mistake of using the language to disparage and insult me because I shall understand whatever you say: ME BE DEM WO ASOTE! Let any Guan speaking person explain that to you.
The Bawku people and some other people from the North should learn how to disagree but live in peace like some Asante people do. The people of Juabeng, Kumawu and Agona don’t live in harmony with the Asantehene but respect the Asanteman Council and don’t go to war. They have learned to agree to disagree. That is better for our Ghanaian community.

Yes, in any contest, there would be name calling etc but after the contest, cool heads must prevail and the unity of the party should be above all factions.
