There are industry players that finance aircraft acquisition through different forms of leasing. If not just for show, this is not the job of an Ambassador. This is strictly finance and usually a delegation of high-profile officials from the interested country hold talks with partners like leasing companies and those that provide funding. It would have been more credible if Mahama or his VP and Finance Minister visited Emirates, Ethiopian or BA to discuss restarting Ghana Airways. This one man show was only for the cameras.

The private airlines have lucrative routes to the US,BRITAIN etc but treat us like SHIT. It is about time the government or the private sector do something about this.
