There are industry players that finance aircraft acquisition through different forms of leasing. If not just for show, this is not the job of an Ambassador. This is strictly finance and usually a delegation of high-profile officials from the interested country hold talks with partners like leasing companies and those that provide funding. It would have been more credible if Mahama or his VP and Finance Minister visited Emirates, Ethiopian or BA to discuss restarting Ghana Airways. This one man show was only for the cameras.

Just imagine flying from Washington Dulles airport to land at Kotoka after 13 hours and waited for your luggage just to be told that your luggage was left at Washington Dulles because of space- why? Because the Ghana Airways boss's wife or girlfriend's items took most of the cargo space.
What about this- " passengers, we are sorry to inform you that due to mechanical issues, the flight today has rescheduled for tomorrow 9:00 AM. Once it happened, there was Ghana Airways official at Dulles airport with a bag full of American dollars distributing to passengers for hotel accommodation.
So, Mr Tall minister, please Ghanaians need good roads. Accra to Kumasi, Accra to Cape Coast, in fact all major roads to all major cities.
You are busy building regional airports- Kumasi, Sunyani, Tamale and elsewhere but majority of Ghanaians travel by road. You just built these airports for yourselves- MPs, ministers of state, and government "aponkyees" or appointees and their girlfriends for easy and faster travels leaving majority to travel by bad death traps called roads. Criminals, build roads- good roads first before your airports.
No better roads, no Ghana national airline. Great nations do NOT have national airlines, only privately run airlines. Poor and visionless nations build or promote national airlines. The only exception to this is my beloved Ethiopian Airlines. I do not know how they have successfully built and kept their National Airlines. I am proud of them, I will continue to patronize their services. God bless the Ethiopian Airlines but please, don't let Ghana have one- they are very incompetent, lazy and thieves. They will let their wives and girlfriends use it for their businesses. Passengers will have their luggages left behind and their flights will always be canceled for non payments of airport levies in abroad.
They are very evil and demonics. They don’t care about their fellow Ghanaians. Amen!
