Ghana web has dissappointed me. After watching the full lecture on youtube, your headline is very disappointing and dishonest intellectually. Prof Dayie lectured us on Antimicrobial Resistance being one of the "Silent Pandemics" we all face worldwide of which Ghana is no exception. He did not ask for donations rather acknowledged the Fleming Fund pioneering AMR research for many years in Ghana where Professor has been contributing within the team of expects. He also pointed out the opportunity for the government to sustain Fleming Fund's efforts in pioneering AMR in Ghana for us to own the initiative and not reliant on donors.

You totally ignored the important issues Anthony being addressed. Do we have issues relating to antibiotic abuse here in Ghana leading to us developing resistance to drugs being prescribed by clinicians in our hospitals. The issues are many when it comes to AMR. The Prof outlined various factor, self medication, efficacy levels of some drugs, reliable data and results from the laboratory, low investments, staff training, the cross boarder nature of the bacteria. The UN has acknowledged the AMR issue and is being attended to internationally. If your main concern is the data, then contact the Prof who is clearly an authority on the subject matter for him to you clear your issues.
Remember is a public lecture and am sure more of the details are reserved for the experts to discuss. Thank you.
