Minority rallies support for BECE Candidates nationwide

The Minority Caucus Committee on Education in Parliament of Ghana has extended a message of encouragement and goodwill to candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), urging them to remain confident and focused as they undertake the crucial academic exercise.

In a statement, the committee commended students across the country for their dedication and resilience, noting that their journey to this stage reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and determination.

The caucus emphasised that the examination marks a significant milestone in the academic lives of the candidates.

“We celebrate your resilience and urge you to approach each paper with the same spirit that has carried you this far,” the statement noted.

The Minority also acknowledged the vital role played by parents, teachers, and guardians in supporting the candidates, describing their collective sacrifices as instrumental to the students’ progress.

According to the committee, success in the BECE goes beyond individual achievement, contributing to national development.

Highlighting opportunities ahead, the caucus pointed to the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) and Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), which they said provide a pathway for students to further their education and build meaningful careers.

Candidates were advised to remain prayerful, manage their time effectively during the exams, and demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired over the years.

“The entire Minority Caucus stands with you. Go forth and excel, because Ghana’s future rests in capable hands like yours,” the statement concluded.

BECE is a key national examination that determines placement into senior high and technical institutions, making it a pivotal moment for thousands of students nationwide.
