A Ghanaian man has has shared his ordeal on how he was lured into fighting in Russian-Ukraine war
A young Ghanaian man has shared a harrowing experience of how he was deceived into joining the Russian military to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to a report by myjoyonline.com published on May 5, 2026, the man revealed that he was recruited by an agent in Dubai, who promised him a job as a steward in the Russian military.
He explained that, "in his search for better opportunities, he accepted the offer, completed the required steps, and eventually traveled to Moscow, the capital of Russia."
However, upon arriving at a military camp, he discovered that he was actually expected to join the military and participate in the ongoing war.
Furthermore, the victim stated that "he was not alone" in this ordeal, as he was among hundreds of Africans who had been similarly deceived.
