Instead of asking that lady to shut up, you should be asking why the that meaningless bill seeks to have DNA apply to just hospital births. If you believe a child needs to know their father, why then does the bill seek to limit such paternity testing to just hospital births when there are just as many births in Ghana taking place outside of hospitals? That bill is nothing but a misplaced agenda, seeking to intrude unnecessarily into marital affairs or family affairs. Marriage law states that children born in a marriage are presumed to be children of the father, unless that father, if he has doubts about being the father, decides to seek a paternity test to determine if a child born in the marriage is actually his natural born child. Parliament should be passing laws to curb corruption instead of saddling the country with laws that make no sense. How many hospitals in Ghana are even presently equipped to conduct DNA testing let alone be required to provide testing for all babies born in these hospitals? A country that still can't provide its citizens in rural areas with clean drinking water now wants to waste resources to provide DNA testing for all babies born in hospitals. Totally absurd.

I know men, who have raised kids until it's time for them to marry only to be told by the mothers that the kids are not theirs. Some children have also lost opportunities to travel outside the country because they failed paternity test of supposed fathers. Do you know how that can break the spirit of both men and the children who fall victims of such paternity frauds?

Secondly such men could be jailed as destroying a family peace and cohesion. So what is the distrust being directed at women. Faithfulness is a key ingredient that has to be nurtured and promoted in marriage. What are we afraid of.? Promiscuity, adultery in marriage is worst than death itself. Cheating partners need not be covered. Men has to gain the trust of their partners likewise. What are we afraid of at all.
