What about a man who is abusive and disrespectful to the wife? I am a man and I know that men often cheat on their wives because it is like acceptable in our culture. Even in some cases in some of our ethnic groups, senior wives find a second wife for their husbands, especially when they start to grow old or engage in businesses that keeps her away from home for some periods of time. Men in our culture are extremely jealous and no man will ask the wife to date another man. Some of our women allow their husbands to take another woman because they want a second wife that they can control and shall be respectful to the senior wife. This was even allowed in the Biblical times. I know it is allowed in Islam too. Compare the wisest King Solomon and the many wives and concubines he had. David was another example. Yes, we can talk about Hosea, Jacob and even Abraham.
I am of the belief that it should be for better or for worse unless under some severe circumstances, it will be better for marriage to be for better or for worse.
If a partner, especially the man becomes abusive and beats the wife like he is on some drugs, the wife should peacefully and quietly ask for a divorce. Women are not Punching Bags. Only foolish and idiotic men beat up their wives. I have told my sisters and daughters that if any of them gets assaulted by the husband, she should just give me a call and I shall visit the abusive husband with my fully loaded Pistol and download all the Bullets into him. I have lived long enough and will never let any man to be beating my daughter or sister. And my daughters know I mean that and they take me serious.

Frank during my national service an elderly woman told me that: Women love idiots who would make them laugh and fool around with. ( Akwaseapafour); however, when it comes to procreation, they choose the men with great gene pool to have children with. (Physical appearance, mental stability, mental acuity and great future).
Remember women are very competitive and would go at great length to get what they want even if they have to break the law, culture and any norms. They exhibit all the Eve characteristics.

In this very case as i understand, the man live with his Mrs for a while before going back to the woman he customarily married. In the reasoning of the SC therefore, he was married to Mrs Yeboah in reality.
