This is barbaric and horrific. Even people who lived before the Stone Age did not behave like that. I am surprised that the Police and the Judiciary of Ghana have not taken this case up for the father of the girl to be prosecuted and imprisoned for about 20 years in Hard Labor. Even 30 years imprisonment will be lenient.
I will console with the mother and Child that they should seek assistance because HIV does not kill anymore as it used to if found and treated earlier. She can appeal to some NGOs, Churches, Mosques and Traditional Authorities for financial support, especially for the treatment of the girl. The mother should hurriedly go to a respectable AIDS Treatment center for an immediate test and treatment if she has acquired the virus. I am surprised that the mother has not appealed to higher authorities and respectable Politicians and rich and influential Ghanaians for assistance.
I wish the mother and daughter successful treatments.

No. Ghana has not abolished CRIMINAL PUNISHMENT but CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. Even then, the Prison Officials know where to put and treat him such that he can’t survive a week imprisonment in Ghana Prisons.
