I am not an economist but I believe Ghana would have come out from under the IMF shackles earlier if there were smart and wise "men" who served in the wasted 8-year period. What if each person, child, youth and adults in Ghana had received a Ghc1000 each to spend; free money to spend like the free SHS scheme?

Ask anyone with bonafides in macro and microeconomic and they know that even if 50 percent of the 30 million population of Ghana in 2022 had spent their government gift of Ghc1000 on purchases there could have been enough lift in the Ghana economic activity to collect taxable transactions to cover our indebtedness rather than the stealing that the Akufo-Addo/ Dr Bawumia paired with the loaned money; there could not have been haircuts.
