All the benefits that the ex presidents of the 4th republic received after office should fully be also extended to The late Dr Hilla Limanns spouse Mrs Fulera Limann and her children. Every benefit that Kuffuor, Rawlings , serwah broni all got after leaving office should be back dated and to award the same to Fulera Limann and her children . Diplomatic status, medical insurance, houses , every support these 3 persons received , the same should be accorded to the Limann family. I urge the current president to ask state protocol and the works and housing minister to ensure Mrs Fulera Limann is given a suitable residential house that befits her status as a former first lady. She also deserves vehicles like kuffuor , etc all have plus full police protection as even our former vice presidents benefit from. Limanns grave needs to be rebuilt by the state to his status. Limann is the only non corrupt leader our country

Never craved for those vanity of fashionista designer handbags , shoes, watches of switzerland brands, designer glasses. She was a thoroughbred woman of substance and greatest quality our nation has witnessed to the higher office. Her position never changed who she was. But when she spoke the room fell silent. Never in the limelight but effectively honouring her duties, changing lives and inspiring people. If she isnt getting what is due her then no wonder our leadership machinery is cursed. We love to wait till someone the system has seriously failed passes on before we remember to praise and offer a state funded huge funeral that also feeds the pockets of political appointees who take on planning the funeral. He was overthrown by my good friend Jerry but not a shred of corruption related evidence was found against him. JDM PLEASE LET US NOT LEAVE IT TILL FULERA PASSES ON FOR THE STATE TO HONOUR HER MEMORY WITH A STATE FUNERAL AND BURIAL. I met the late Former president Dr Hilla Limann when he once held a meeting with bosses of all the banks and financial institutions in ghana. Mr William Osei was then MD of Ghana commercial Bank. He was such a gentleman, a super human who wanted to make a change for every citizen of ghana rich or poor, especially for the hard working farmer to feel important and benefit from policies and changes he wanted to make. He was never a bitter person even after his over throw and how he was treated by the very state that never found him guilty of any crime. Lets bear in mind that he was stationed out of the country in a very good job , but left that to serve his country with honesty and dignity. If kuffuor is richer than when he left government but still receives the best retirement package any of our leaders has , why not Dr Limanns family. Follow ghanaians lets call a spade a spade, and put our silly , stupid politics aside and think of the benefits we give our presidents when they leave office. Its about time we stop building palaces on top of the aburi hills , kwahu mountains, akosombo hills etc for ex presidents and their families. The government should build properties that remain the property of the state which should be offered to ex presidents and when they pass it is taken back. Or build them a house that should be standard for every ex president as a thank you for their service to the nation. They will take full responsibility of its up keep. Enough of wasting tax payers money on some ex presidents whilst those never found guilty of corruption dont get jack. Lets fix this issue and our old fashioned constitution asap.
