There is too much corruption in this country - especially at the higher echelons of society, to open a backdoor of convenience for the criminals to escape from the law and remain protected by other jurisdictions by the opportunistic mechanism of dual nationality.

All things being equal, there is no reason at all - other than opportunistic ones, for any Ghanaian citizen to seek a dual nationality status. I have been traveling all my life without any problem, to various nations on a Ghanaian passport and I think other Ghanaians can also do same

Merely possessing a USA passport doesn't make one's extradition more complicated. If the court rules against him and he happens to exhaust his appeals, he'll have to submit himself to the FBI for transfer to Ghana authorities, and his USA passport will have no effect in the attempt to have him extradited back to Ghana, for being a holder of a USA passport doesn't add any layer of protection against extradition as long as his rights were not violated.
