  Ashanti is a believe which shall grow stronger because the colonial construct we call Ghana today has come to the end of it's natural lifecycle - a Non-Tribal regions of Ashanti, Volta, Greater Accra, Central, etc. are a natural outputs of the current - because they are evolving in that direction by themselves already.
  
  Our simple task is to legislate and give them advance governance systems. And we have to start by making tribalism and cessesion reasonable offences at all levels.

  1. The country is too big and growing too fast to remain a Unitary-Centralised entity. Technically speaking, it is becoming ungovernable by itself.
  
  2. The Unitary-Centralised state has bogged dowb the nation since colonial times while multi-cultural and multi-lingual regions have been created over time - these are enough.
  
  Ghana does not have to follow a traditional federal system or devolved model as in developed countries. It can create it's own regionalised-state system to relieve the load on central government. And no social group can secede because of resource challenges.
  
  And the fear of Ashanti is neocolonial scaremongering. With a thoughtful regionalisation based on dialogue Ghana will emerge as a great nation on it's way to advancement for the sake of its people. Forward. (Samuel Ofori-Sey).

  Professor Ahwoi himself states correctly that Ghana (and almost all nations on earth) are social constructs - what I see is that that construct has come to the end of it's lifecycle so let's boldly replace it. Where I agree with the professor is on time-frame and processes based on cool-headedness and DIALOGUE with all sections of the society including security services.
  
  A new non-tribalised/regionalised Ghana is the best option to advance the nation. The current Unitary-Centralised feeds on/from colonialism and has to go - neocolonialism has to end!

  And that time has come upon Ghana to advance (and not just develop) because the natural lifecycle of a colonial Ghana is over - social integration shall accelerate contrary to what some believe and a sense of a unified nation shall intensify in the younger generation to the surprise of their parents.
  
  The fear of a new regionalised Ghana which is not based on tribalism and bigotry is already here (and if in doubt, enquire from the upcoming generation and observe their culture).
  
  The role of the older generation in this evolution will be guidance and cultural transition devoid of the hatred which has been rendered obsolete in time.
