They did the same thing to Kwame Nkrumah. The more the Osagyefo achieved great things for the country and gained international applause and stature, the more the UP/NPP foreign inspired imperialist errand boys, got bitter and violent. After consistently losing election after election, they resorted to acts of boycotting Parliament. They then started employing terrorist tactics at every stage and thereby killing scores of innocent Ghanaians in their illegitimate bid to make Ghana ungovernable unless they took over power by the force of arms. With the assistance of our oppressors, that is what they eventually accomplished.

This western democratic system of three arms of government is nothing for us in Ghana. We can not have an Executive branch which is determined to fight corruption and a judicial branch which is making it difficult for the Executive branch to achieve its objectives. It is a high time we develop a political system (just as China did) which can serve our purpose instead of aspiring to please the West. Our current system of Government is not helping us to achieve results in our development efforts.
