If they were that close to him surely this Apostle would have had some arrangements with the Abusua panin or Nephews and Nieces regarding arrangements for his funeral. Let's be factual and stop the unnecessary litigation about the body of the Apostle . How long is he supposed to be in the morgue? 10 years probably? Please cope with the children who are supposed to "bury " according to the same tradition and allow peace and understanding to prevail. Condolences to all, though

Some customs have to change. No two ways about that. I don't see why this particular issue about who buries who has trended ad nauseam.I faced the same in the early years of this millennium. Mon Pere who incidentally was chosen abusua payin despite his ill health, bought a plot at OSU and wrote down his last wishes and preferences. None of the abusua bothered to visit in his last days. When he passed and we went to inform them, they demanded their right to bury him. I paid a visit to their cemetery. It was full and chocked with weeds. To cut a long story short,we the children agreed to pay compensation for opting to follow our dad's wishes, including transporting about 50 members of the abusua to Accra, board and lodge,sheep, schnapps, what have you. We were very courteous and accommodating. After the funeral,they departed and since then, my siblings and I have cut off all contacts to that part of the family, because we were hurt. We have not followed up on all the properties that our father had in that clan After all,they were more concerned about the body. It is over.
