The people's choice was Sonko, but Macky Sall fabricated to have him imprisoned, denying him mrp eligibility and chance to stand for president. Sonko is pan-Africanist who wants to ensure that his people take control of their natural resources and manage their own affairs. Faye on the othet hand seems to want foreign companies have a stake. And I think this is where both young leaders are finding it difficult to get along with each other.
I was actually happen for them at the beginner of their government, but after a few years I started reading about tension between the two leaders. Is quite unfortunate. But I think they sjould resolve their differences and work together for the betterment of the Senegalese people and Africa as a whole.
