Lets we forget. Some years ago Ghana, under Busia's administration, sent Nigerians in Ghana packing. Nigeria retaliated a couple of years later. Ghana cannot go about beating its chest today. We should all be measured in our utterances and decisions for tomorrow is unknown. What Ghana did to Nigerians in Ghana then was wrong. What Nigeria did to Ghana later was wrong. And what South Africa is doing to African nationals today is wrong. Is Trump right in his immigration policies and actions? Time will tell. What is good for the goose.. ., unfortunately. Sir if you were not born during the Dr KA Busia alien compliance order period, I think it is not too late to read well about that. Basically the order was actually saying foreigners who were staying in Ghana without resident permit have to regularize their papers. It was referring to all foreigners (, Indians, Lebanese, Nigerians etc). Unfortunately our brothers and sisters who never knew any place apart from Ghana were affected. I had college mates in the early 60s whose parents came to the country before Independence. Where were they expected to go. An account officer who was working in a Lebanese garment shop lost his job for a short period when the shop was closed but fortunately for him the owner got his resident permit later on. The whole idea was very hash but it did. It affected our brothers and sisters from Nigeria more because it was said that in every town or village in Ghana there were Nigerians except Breman (Ksi). It was a painful exercise. The benefits Busia government gained, I don't know.

Integration? SA is a new independent country. Their ancestors bore the brunt of apartheid. Let us allow them to build their country It is like we are competing with them for the bones the white people are throwing to them. The blacks are not fully economically integrated. Forget African unity until all of us have built our countries then we can visit each other and not stay n seek employment
