These professional boards use these bodies to gate keep and restrict new professionals from practice under the guise of protecting the industry and society from malpractice. In practice it's all about keeping the pool of license professionals limited so as to create artificial scarcity for their firms to benefit.
license to practice should not be issued and controlled by private boards but rather by neutral government bodies.
The boards should focus improving the field.
What has been the contribution of the Architectural Institute to bring order to the chaotic design of our towns and cities? NOTHING !!
