  They lie to the teeth. Is Mustapha saying the forensic audit report is false and that he was not the minister for sports at the time? The question arises then: who authorised the fraudulent expenditures? In the public service, workers do not challenge authority, they obey. And it was the responsibility of the minister to demand accountability from his or her subordinates. Was Ussif not trained or briefed about how things work in the service? What is this man Ussif saying about being ready to respond appropriately on the floor of the House of Parliament? This is an indictment on his person after a special forensic audit and therefore the matter must be referred to the Attorney General for prosecution. Remember Mustapha Hamid also went this route and denied any wrong doing publicly. It is public knowledge that even if a thief is caught in the act, he would deny complicity. In this case, the hard working audit team from the Ghana Audit Service cannot be wrong. Paintaking investigation was carried out and the flaws outlined step by step. Of course, the suspect has his likes all around Parliament and he might be counting on them to exonerate him. However, this case is one of interest and we would follow it closely. Mustapha Ussif, whether he benefitted directly from the infractions or not, must realise by now that the buck stops with him. He must prepare to face the arena of accountability.

  SHAME to incompetent NDC. This is sheer ENVY. Mustafa organized a flawless and hitch-free Games involving many sports like football, basketball, table tennis, boxing, judo, handball, hockey, volleybal and athletics. The international community praised Ghana. NDC organized ONLY ATHLETICS but they failed 'potoor'. They DISGRACED Ghana woefully. They don't know how to do anything well but when NPP people do something well they suspect them of wrongdoing. Why did the majority in Parliament oppose the probe of Sammy Gyamfi's Goldboard after losses in millions of dollars? Have they also probed the losses in the Bank of Ghana? They just want to disgrace NPP appointees so that Ghanaians will hate them. But they have failed because Ghanaians have now known the true nature of NDC appointees just after one and a half years in power. SHAME to NDC!!
