In Europe, if a woman is an illegal and gives birth to a baby, she child doesn’t become a citizen. That is why many move to the USA just to have a baby who automatically becomes a citizen. Uncle Sam is trying to be hard because of the Arabs, especially the Iranians and their cohorts in the Middle East and some countries like Nigeria which have become citadels of serious criminals.

Stealing money from African countries has nothing to do with that woman's immigration case. The article claims she went to the USA to seek treatment for her son's hand, and that she's pregnant. The article provides no information about how she was going to fund her son's medical care, and the suspicion of the authorities could have been drawn to her pregnancy, with a suspicion that she was a tourist seeking to give birth in the USA as some pregnant women have been doing and saddling the USA welfare system with their maternity bills. It would have helped to enlighten readers if the ACLU had information from the clinic that shows that the woman had made prior arrangements with it to have her son treated there, for that clinic could have provided documents supporting her claim that her son was scheduled for treatment there. Trump's racist agenda of admitting South African whites into America should be no reason to overlook the fact that for too many years, women from many parts of the world have used tourism as a ploy to travel to the USA to give birth and have their new born acquire instant USA citizenship; and the majority of these women often don't fund their maternity expenses since they have friends that they stay with who coach them on how to claim indigency and qualify for tax payers' assistance, or in some cases, simply assume personal responsibility for the bills but then fly back to the countries, never to pay for those medical bills, and the American tax payer is then left holding the bag. The woman's claim that she demanded to be allowed to buy her own food isn't plausible, for detainees in in USA jails are all fed by those institutions. Having commissary privileges isn't a form of feeding oneself. There's more to this story than meets the eye.

The Ghanaian lady, Arabella Gyasi, lied to the immgation officials for a reason of being in the US. Based on her lies, they determined that she was trying to have an anchor baby. When the US Customs and Border Protection officers asked her if she feared persecution back in Ghana, the lady answered that she did because of her son’s disability. CBP then classified her as an asylum applicant and moved to nullify her tourist visa. Had she mainly given an honest answer to the immigration authorities, she would been allowed to go on to her son's medical appointment.
