They get arrested, but the public never gets informed about any outcomes regarding these arrestees. Something isn't right, for the fight against galamsey has a wide loophole that can be seen only by the galamsey operators. Can the government disclose to Ghanaians how many galamsey operatives have been arrested in the past eighteen months? And of those arrested, how many have been prosecuted, and what are the outcomes of those prosecutions. Of those arrested, how many were not prosecuted, and what are the names and what's the reason for them not being prosecuted? With regard to the foreign nationals who were arrested for galamsey in this same period, how many were prosecuted and how many were not prosecuted, and what countries do they hail from? Of the foreign nationals who were prosecuted, how many were convicted, and if given prison sentences, are they serving those sentences in Ghana prisons, and if not, why?
