Accra has been last that for the past 60 years and eill ever been
I see that as a political corruption who issued permits for all those illegal buildings in Accra ATM hands are full of corrupt money causing problems now

I am sitting here, 5000miles away, watching flooding in Accra with nothing done.

Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa is too good for his role, he has to be drafted to a Govt Ministry where his logistical skills - Manpower is utilised in full.

Okudzeto Ablakwa would have mobilized the right technical experts to tackle the annual problem of flooding blighting residents in Accra caused by corrupt and incompetent land vendors and Town planners who have misdirected land buyers into buying land in waterways causing this problem. Yet they are walking the same streets, in their offices and being paid by the government which is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I am feeling Sick about this institutional wrong!!! Where are you Okudzeto Ablakwa?

If one stands anywhere to advise residents to stop throwing garbage into the drains without strictest form of enforcement by government, the advise would never be adhered to.
The problem has been ineffective governmental controls. The building permits were given by government institution to build in the water ways. So, if rainy season comes with floods, the government complains. May God help us.

The reason is because they have invested heavily in modern drainage system. The Ghanaian approach of demolition of house along waterways is not producing results. Go to Ethiopia and study their system.
