Premier League side Liverpool have dismissed head coach Arne Slot following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season on May 30, 2026.

It is understood that the decision was taken by the club after a full-season review, as Liverpool endured a difficult campaign following their league triumph.

The Dutchman guided Liverpool to a shock Premier League title last term after replacing Anfield icon Jürgen Klopp in the dugout.

However, a disappointing title defence and a fifth-place finish reportedly prompted key figures at the club to decide on a change in direction.

Mo Salah delivered a parting message earlier this month via social media, criticising Liverpool’s style of play during the season.

The Reds are yet to decide on their next manager as they prepare for the 2026/27 season, with the aim of returning to title contention.

Reports suggest that Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola is among the favourites to take over the role following his impressive stint, which earned his side European qualification.
