Travel abroad and see how people cherish and protect their parks, nature reserves rivers, lakes and beaches.

These things remain fully intact and protected for future generations to enjoy and also become custodians of heritage. In Ghana, all certain people think about are cement, blocks and building projects. If we see any piece of land or green space, we want to cut down the trees, dig and build on it. This is our concrete jungle mentality. Even some so called educated people do this.

Who cares about trees and grass which nature beautifully intended to absorb rain water in their leaves, and roots, and release it slowly - nature at its best. In Ghana, we pave everything with concrete.

We then travel abroad, express amazement, enjoy and admire their parks and gardens and beautiful beaches. Such things are only achieved through discipline, protection, hard work and a maintenance routine - all these qualities are severely missing in Ghana. The finger of blame for flooding should point directly at we ourselves. Also blame those in authority who fraudulently allowed their friends, family and party members to build in protected spaces.

Alfred Thompson was a fine gentleman for a period of time. Since he declared his intention for the position of Treasurer of the NPP, he has become very party centered so as to win votes during their elections.
His arguments are not good for development, he always seeks to blame government for everything happening today. He sees their 8 years as golden and the 18 months of the NDC as something bad.
