The NDC which tries to emulate the ideas and ideals of the CPP, unlike the NPP, believes in fairness, equity and employment of Ghanaians based on merit regardless of tribe, political party affiliation or bloodline.

It is of those ideals that the late Atta-Mills refused to prosrcute Kufour and his thieving appointees to the dismay of the late J. J. Rawlings. People contribute both money and efforts to their prefered political party candidates to win power but fairness, love of country and the ideals of meritocracy still governs NDC leadership decisions and actions.

Unlike the NPP that thrives on gutter politics, the NDC chooses to be principled with foresight even as its own members pay a price.
