@ KIND. Good observation. Clearly that’s their pastime and leisure . Funerals and more funerals . They even attend the funeral of a wall gecko. Next is birthdays.The latest is to cry during church service.

Will the funeral be held at the forecourt or inside the jubilee house. Ghana we adore, worship the dead more than the living. How much is the state support going to cost tax payers. We have pregnant women hijacked in hospitals, because they cant afford to pay their hospital discharge fees. We have school children learning under trees, walking barefoot to school across overgrown bushlands, shrubs, mosquito infested waters and rivers just to get to school and no help arriveson their door step until someone with a camera posts such cases online. Even that still attracts zero support. We have hospitals where families are prescribed operation sterilised equipment which the doctors direct patients to a particular chemist to buy the equipment because the hospital hasnt received or got any of those mrdical equipment from the government medical stores. The list can go on till the end of this parliament and there will still be more to add. Yet when some one affiliated to a particular government or has children or relations in high office, they get the doors of the seat of government opened for them to go inform the presidency about the persons passing. Straight without consulting the tax payer government offers a state sponsored stste funeral. I just want to know what it cost the government especially from the chief of staff office if they could let us know the cost involved, logistics, security , refreshments plus all the others. Why should the state sponsor someone who is very well to do in their lifetime. Its about time we cut down on these bullshit. Policing these events alone is huge. Why doesnt the government tell these families to nominate a worthy cause, charity, hospital of their choice where the government can donate money in their name. If the family wants the independence square to hold their funeral that can be arranged for free but all security etc will be their cost. Are we going to offer those who lost their li es in the very recent flooding, if their families go to lst the presidency know if their funeral plans. They all served in various ways as citizens . There is a 2 tier system in ghana. This is got to stop.
