  Some of us in the West Africa sub-region had developed an insatiable appetite for anything foreign hence, this huge amount being spent on importing "RICE" into the region for the foolish man/woman to consume.

  Some of us in the West Africa sub-region had developed an insatiable appetite for anything foreign hence, this huge amount being spent on importing "RICE" into the region for the foolish man/woman to consume.
  
  Our various government can ban rice importation and encourage local rice production while that amount could be used to augment other things.
