  Under the SGMC none of the goldmines from Konongo through Obuasi to Tarkwa ever made any profits and many times couldn't even pay their workers.
  
  Is this an era we want to revisit as a country? HELL NO!
  
  Government MUST not own any mines in Ghana.

  Only few have the capacity to run the mine because it's capital intensive.How many can raise $1 billion to run the Tarkwa mine as Goldfields is proposing for the next three years.So for now we can go for partnership between Goldfields and a local firms to build their capacity or increase our equity as a state to may be 40%.

We need to learn to walk before we run. For 60 years we cannot even build a duel carriage road from Accra to Kumasi so let’s stop all the noise and learn how to do things well before we create another mess.
