ALL PERSONS WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING LAWS TO STOP THE CONTINUATION OF BUILD SHOULD BE JOINTLY CHARGED WITH THE BUILDER, OWNER AND ALL WORKERS. THERE SHOULD BE RULES PASSED FOR BUILDING SITE WORKERS , MASONS ETC TO SHOE CERTIFICATES OF COMPETENCE AND ALSO THEY SHOULD CHECK WITH OWNER PROOF OF PLANNING AND BUILDING PERMISSION.   Nonsense, is this rantings by the MCE the remedy to this calamity. Why are we always reactive to incidents instead of being proactive? If citizens disobey the law they must be prosecuted not wait until disaster happens. I blame our assemblies for being part of the problems we're facing as a country. Our MCE"s and DCE's are not working to develop our districts except extorting money from innocent citizens and allowing impunity to fester.

  You can't combine it's your money, it's your property, it's your land, altogether, Mr MCE! All of you have failed because you don't do your work properly.
  
  The act of people just claiming any land to build on it while authorities looked unconcerned is primitive and must stop. People must not be allowed to build on any piece of land because they bought it with their money and so becomes their property, it's wrong!
  
  The whole Ghana has no proper architectural town planning structure in place and it's a shame. People building indiscriminately is an eyesore in Ghana. It's time for the government to take drastic measures against this kanker of indiscriminate putting up of structures everywhere anyhow that has eaten into the Ghanaian society.

  The corrupt engineers you have should rather be arrested. They keep taking bribes and assisting people to sell lands fraudulently. It’s time the authorities set a standard rate for building permits to avoid the unscrupulous sums they charge, majority of which goes into their pockets.
