And give to fraudulent indigene-owned entities (like ADAMUS or BEEEDEG in the shipping sector) who wont even pay contractors for job done?

How it has taken us 70 years to realise this baffles me. We give mineral leases to foreigners - they mine and and take everything away and we sit at home in poverty- how dumb are we?

The question is, did Newmont publicize their intention to sell the mine beforehand? If so, did any Ghanaian entity bid for it? I'm sure the billion-dollar deal was not negotiated and concluded in a month. By the way, now that ...
