Pregnant for another man, yet insists on living with ex-husband in house they 'built' together
A dramatic dispute between a Ghanaian woman and her ex-husband unfolded live on radio after the woman insisted on continuing to live in a house they once shared, despite becoming pregnant by another man.
The matter was brought before the popular "Aunty Naa" programme on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM by the ex-husband, who sought intervention and resolution regarding the disagreement.
According to the woman, she was married to her former husband for five years and played a significant role in the construction of their house.
She argued that her contributions to the project give her the right to continue living in the property even after the breakdown of their marriage.
Speaking on the programme, the woman recounted the sacrifices she made during the construction of the house.
She claimed she carried bags of cement to the building site, supervised portions of the project, and worked tirelessly to ensure the house was completed, all while caring for a baby.

Because of those efforts, she maintained that she would not agree to move out of the house.
“I helped in building the house. I carried bags of cement and supervised the project, among other things. I will not leave the house. We will live in it together. If he doesn't agree, then he can leave,” the woman stated.
She further argued that her years of support and involvement in the construction process cannot simply be ignored and that she deserves to remain in the home she helped build.
The ex-husband, however, strongly rejected her claims, insisting that he solely financed and built the house without any contribution from the woman.
He maintained that the property belongs to him and that his former wife no longer has any right to live there, especially after entering a relationship with another man and becoming pregnant.
According to him, the woman should move in with her current partner rather than insist on staying in his house.
“She is not speaking the truth. I built my house alone. She did not help me. I want her out of my house. She should let her new man find a place for her,” the man said.
