If he didn't inform the Board to inform the regional minister, then to the Director General of Ghana Health Service, the Minister of Health and finally the president for a final decision, the CEO and management have erred and all of you must be suspended. Any other thing you are talking about is or may be valid but the CEO didn't follow rules and regulations. The CEO showed gross disrespect and arrogance to the president who even appointed him as CEO. The Minister's home region (Western North) refer their emergency cases to KATH and he's very much aware of the pressure but politics he would take this senseless decision to make innocent people die for nothing.
Just this morning, a friend of mine from Akuapem (Eastern region) brought his wife to Nyinahin hospital, and they Referred her to KATH emergency case he called me almost cried because no doctor is attending to this pregnant innocent woman.

I read the KATH CEO got suspended. Never would’ve happened when LHIMS was being used. It helped process patients much faster, meaning they were seen by physicians quite early in the day - they’d be seen by 11am after an 8 - 9am arrival. They’d be given medication or in dire more serious cases, an injection to bro g their fever down. They’d be able to eat again and go home to continue treatment. Nobody leaves their homes to come sleep on those hospital beds or eat the food there. Africans in general like to self-treat, and avoid annual bloodwork/checkups. That means, when they go to an ER, they’re very ill and need to be attended to within a short period of time. Unfortunately, the current system doesn’t enable that, hence, the sick aren’t seen till probably late afternoon. The heir condition would have worsened by then, leading to more admissions. Suddenly the bed occupancy rate jumps up - adding to the ‘no-bed-syndrome’ situation. I feel your pain. Hopefully they’ll find a solution, but in the meanwhile, lives are being lost and I’m sure your IGF has plummeted. Have a great weekend
