We beaten, shamed, made to do other punishments for being slower by ignorant system. Today our slow and logical thinking and processing capabilities are the ones that make the difference in our everyday lives.

That's a very laudable idea. In our time every early morning was a mental session and everyone wanted to impress.
Caning should also be re-introduced sparingly.
"Sparingly"? Who decides "sparingly", the teacher, the headmaster or the student?
Please get your facts right. This is no longer a practice in the Ghanaian classroom. In fact it was cancelled so many years ago!
If mental is still around then it should be scraped. It scares the children. Some lazy teachers ask questions on topics they have not even taught.
