'You can't show us how to do our work' - Mussa Dankwah slams NDC

Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has slammed attempts by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to influence how his polling firm conducts its surveys, insisting that Global Info Analytics is independent and has never been affiliated with the party.

In a post shared on X on June 7, 2026, Dankwah stated that the firm's upcoming national tracking poll would assess the viability of various potential NDC flagbearer hopefuls ahead of future head-to-head matchups against Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, only candidates who secure at least 10 percent of the popular vote in the tracking poll after June 2026 will be included in subsequent head-to-head contests against Dr Bawumia.

He added that any aspirant who publicly declares a lack of interest in contesting would be excluded from hypothetical polling scenarios.

Responding to criticisms from some NDC supporters over the methodology used in the polls, Dankwa maintained that the organisation would not alter its approach to satisfy political interests.

“To those NDC people calling us to direct us on how to do our work, they should not waste their time. We have never been part of NDC party and we will never be,” he indicated.

Dankwah stressed that the objective of Global InfoAnalytics is to inform and educate voters by measuring public sentiment on political and national issues.

He argued that opinion polls provide a platform for citizens to express their views honestly and help political leaders understand the concerns and expectations of the electorate.

Dankwah further contended that democracies thrive when leaders pay attention to the views of the majority, adding that attempts to undermine independent polling were inconsistent with democratic principles.

He said those unhappy with the work of pollsters have alternatives, describing Ghana as “a new Ghana” where independent voices should be respected.
