General Overseer of the Believers Worship Center, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah
The General Overseer of the Believers Worship Center, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has declared that the Black Stars will regain their form ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, the team’s recent performances have triggered backlash from the public as well as doom prophecies, pointing to the fact that the team lacks the potency to perform.
The clergyman indicated that the current circumstances surrounding the team suggest that it is “dead and in the morgue” amid inconsistent performances.

However, Prophet Kyei-Duah emphasized that just as God resurrected Lazarus from death, the Black Stars could also be reignited to make an impact and make the nation proud.
“If you listen to what people are saying about them and the prophecies, it means… in Ghana we accept that the Black Stars are in a mortuary. Do you understand? However, if Lazarus could resurrect from death through God, then the Black Stars can come back to life. May the Lord bless us all and may His mercies endure forever,” he said in Twi during a service on June 7, 2026, at his congregation.
This comes after sports minister Kofi Adams visited the prophet’s church to seek heavenly blessings as the Black Stars prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament, taking place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will begin on June 11, 2026. Ghana will compete against England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L for a place in the knockout stage.
