The issue with blacks is that they don't think critically enough. Should doctors save patients with their bare hands? Should the emergency unit admit patient to fill every square inch of the floor? If these issues are raised, everyone starts insulting doctors as if doctors are responsible for infrastructure and equipment in teaching hospitals. The truth is, doctors are hated everywhere in the world. It's very normal. However, just try to understand how health systems work and you'd probably contribute positively to national discourse.

Have you ever heard of the maxim that when you pretend to pay them, they also pretend to work? Some Hospital Workers including Nurses and Doctors have worked for about two years without being paid. Don’t they have families to take care of? How do they pay their rent and utilities? Does the Army march on an empty stomach? Soldiers, Police and MPs are paid regularly and appropriately. How do you expect Medical Personnel to work without being paid? When they slow down work, go on Industrial Strikes and the family members of Politicians start to become incurably ill and start dying, you shall understand them and pay them for the work they do. Keep quiet and just understand that many Ghanaians will fall sick, suffer and die. Just understand that. Foolish Politicians.

Pls, except for exceptional circumstances that Dr and nurses have not been paid. This is never a routine thing. Don't use salaries to justify the unethical behaviour of some of these doctors and nurses. Nobody compelled them to accept the appointment. If they feel the salaries are low, they should leave and seek jobs that pay them higher salaries. You can't accept an appoitment and fail to do what is expected of you. Is anybody salary in Ghana high? Drs/Nurses are some, if not the highest paid public servants, yet they complain alot. Most of these doctors are even operating their own private clinics and spend most of the time at their private clinics than at the government facilities, ultimately stealing government working hours in their private facilities.
Is high time government crack a whip at some of these doctors and nurses. They are becoming unbecoming. Being a medical doctor or a nurses doesn't make you a demigod to think that you're above others and should be treated specially from others.

They teach tnem to think that they alone know it all.
This is how Ghana medical doctors feel. They feel entitled and superior to all others, and that if you touch one you them all, even if that one person broke the ethics of the profession and is being punished.
